The Houston Cougars and the Rice Owls are set for kick off at 1300 hrs at Reliant Stadium, just up the road from where I am in the Houston area now. It would be one of my only chances to watch a live football game in this trip and it is being ruined by rain. It has pretty much been raining non-stop since yesterday. Just my luck this year!
Yes, my luck is absolutely horrendous for seeing some football on my annual trip. I’m going to be in the United States nearly three weeks total but during the entire time I’m here the home teams will be playing away, and that includes my Arkansas Razorbacks and my Arkansas State Red Wolves. However, I will have a chance at a high school game when my alma mater’s Prescott Curley Wolves will take on the Smackover Buckaroos the week after next. (Here’s to you, Diana Fortune, wherever you may be…)
But for today I guess I’ll have to see all my football on the boob tube. Damn.
