Gary Dale Cearley is an American expatriate who lives in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a polyglot, avid reader, traveler and he is a thought leader in international business-to-business networking.

Background

Gary Dale grew up in the rural South of the United States near Prescott, Arkansas. After finishing high school he went off to the United States Navy where he studied the Vietnamese language (Hanoi and Saigon dialects) at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Languages have always been a passion for Gary Dale and he has worked hard at learning languages as well as learning about them. His other passion is reading. He has devoured non-fiction and classic literature for almost the span of his entire life.

Upon leaving the navy Gary Dale relocated to the Los Angeles beach side community of Venice, California, yet later moved to Asia where he has spent the past few decades. First in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and later in Saigon and Hanoi, Vietnam, where he witnessed major economic and social changes in that country as it woke up to the rest of the world.

Gary Dale’s work travel as well as personal travel has taken him to all the inhabited continents several times over. He is also a fan of American football supporting the Prescott Curley Wolves, the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Arkansas State Red Wolves and the New Orleans Saints. He has published a few books, several articles and loads of blog posts.
